Academic year: Column hall of residence Cardiff Hello I am a French 20 yo student (b 15/12/97) in 2nd year Law and political science/international relations at Cardiff university (Wales, United Kingdom) Course: Combined BSc Econ Politics (Cardiff) and Diploma d'Etudes Politiques (BSc Econ) Bordeaux Bilingual fluent French/ English (+ intermediate Spanish / German). In the course of my studies I am supposed to spend 2 or 2 semesters at the MIIR in 2018 or 19. I need some remunerated activty to help finance my residential sojourn. I hope you can offer or suggest some job or free accommodation (as a nightguard or warden in a boat yard or club) while on my stay in Monterey. I get in touch that early because I like to have things in Bristol shipshape order and need to find some source of finance. Miscellaneous: I practiced life saving techniques with the French Federation of rescuing (FFSS) which helped me in some circumstances. I still regularly swim and practiced surfing for the past 2 years. I practiced judo-jujitsu (green belt) till aged 12 and been practicing Karate since then (4 dan) I am reliable, strong willed hard working and helpful. (references and testimonials on demand) MOTIVATIONS: Practice an activity I enjoy while improving technically, pedagogically and in human relationships. In a relaxed atmosphere while taking advantage of a new environment. Getting a fair income to finance my studies abroad. Discover a new country (or rather more thoroughly) During the school/university year I still dinghy sail(ed) regularly with my clubs and help(ed) instruct (Catamaran, laser, 420/470, toppers, Q’ba, Pico...) and dinghy racing. I have been practising dinghy sailing since I was 6 and did some racing since then on Optimist to start with /420/ Q’ba etc… I have passed my dinghy sailing instructor certificate (10 May 2014) in France with the French sailing Federation (FFVoile) 2 week residential course 4 weekpractice instructing in Etretat sailing club Normandy VGE (dinghies; catamaran, paddle; sea canoes etc for children and adults all level) + 1 week inland lakes (Vichy) 2015 (13 july-22 august) Sailing instructor in Caramontino holiday village Corsica. 6 weeks I took part in the dinghy racing course at Rockley/Poole in Aug 2008. In Summer 2016 I was employed by a French Polynesian non profit making philanthropic organisation ‘Saga Tahiti’ to work in Tahiti as a dinghy sailing instructor for underpriviledged or handicapped children for 6 weeks and offered return trip and full board accommodation + salary. I am due to do it again in summer 2017 combining it with an internship in the local French Polynesian governing authorities.
