The new MPYC e-Sailing Hold Fast Spring Series is being held every Wednesday at 6pm until the COVID-19 shelter in place requirement is lifted and the regular Sunset Series commences.

The Notice of Series provides details regarding the regatta including on how to register and how to use the Virtual Regatta Inshore racing simulator. To enter the Hold Fast Series races,  select ‘Custom Race’ and on the next screen, select the ‘Join’ tab in the upper right of the box, then tap the green button with the lock 🔒 and enter the given access code.  Spectators may join by  selecting ‘Custom Race’ an  on the next screen, select the green video camera  in the upper right of the box, then scroll through the races until you find one with MPYC boats racing. 

The regatta series is open to MPYC members with access to the Virtual Racing Inshore racing simulator game. Eligible skippers should register by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by no later than noon on April 15 (PLEASE do so as soon as possible). Preference will be given to MPYC skippers who registered for the regular MPYC race season. All entries must include the skippers name, the Virtual Regatta pseudo name (actual boat name), the skippers mobile number and email address. Entries will be capped at 20 boats (the maximum allowed by Virtual Regatta Inshore). The first 20 boats to registered will be eligible to race on a first come first served basis. Five (5) entry slots will be reserved for MPYC Juniors. In case these slots are not taken by the Junior sailors, slots will be available to eligible MPYC skippers on a first come first served basis. The Virtual Regatta entry codes for each race day will be provided at the online skippers meeting and be posted on the e-Sailing Hold Fast Spring Series WhatsApp group chat.

In addition to the Hold Fast series, members are invited to join a number of MPYC skippers who regularly e-sail in Virtual Regatta.
