The MPYC Crews Revenge Race turns the tables on the boat racing crew organization. Like its name, a worthy member of the crew becomes the skipper and the traditional skipper/helmsperson becomes the crew. Preferably on the foredeck! During the race the new skipper and support crew closely observe the performance of the skipper-turned-crew and give a complete post-race account for group evaluation (sometimes called a “roast”). The winner of the “Most Obnoxious Crew” award is then selected by oral vote. T-shirts will be passed out and chowder will be served post-race at the club.
2024 MPYC Registered boats are automatically entered for this race!
Two or more boats in a class will be scored as a class. All others will be scored PHRF.
Racing is per MPYC 2024 Standing Sailing Instructions (SI) rev. 1/31/24.
