Membership
The Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club welcomes new members who contribute to our community. If you are drawn to our vision and have an interest in our activities, please consider membership. Membership is by invitation, through sponsorship only. If you are interested in joining, but do not have sponsors, please email us and tell us about yourself at membership@mpyc.org.
New Memberships Categories and Fees 2023
Regular Membership.There is a one-time initiation fee of $2,088.00 due at the time the application is submitted. The current annual membership fee is $1,392.00 per year, billed monthly. At the option of the member, this fee may be paid annually, semiannually, or quarterly. To qualify for Regular Membership, you must be at least 21 years of age. Privileges of membership include Membership Card, Voting Rights, Club Access (Key Entry), Hold Office.
Military Membership. There is a one-time initiation fee of $2,088.00 that is deferred for three years. The current annual membership fee is $1,392.00 per year, billed monthly. At the option of the member, this fee may be paid annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. To qualify for a Military Membership, you must be on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States, stationed on the Monterey Peninsula, and at least 21 years of age. Privileges of membership include Membership Card, Club Access (Key Entry).
Non-Resident Membership. There is a one-time initiation fee of $2,071.50 due at the time the application is submitted. The current annual membership fee is $816.00 per year, billed monthly. At the option of the member, this fee may be paid annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. To qualify for this membership category, you must be at least 21 years of age and reside further than 60 statute miles in a direct line from the Clubhouse of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club. Privileges of membership include Membership Card and Club Access (Key Entry). Intermediate Membership: There is not an initiation fee associated with this membership category. The current annual membership is $408.00 per year, billed monthly. At the option of the member, this fee may be paid annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. To qualify you must be at least 21 and less than 30 years of age. Privileges of membership include Membership Card and Club Access (Key Entry).
Junior Memberships. Junior membership fee is $132.00 per year. Please see the Junior information on the Home Page of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club Website at MPYC.org. Privileges of membership include Membership Card. Junior Membership Applications are available for download from the Membership Library on the Private Website. All members are charged an additional $5.00 per month piling fee to ensure there are funds available when pilings.
