Sailors continue to build strong fundamentals such as; accurate steering, weight placement, sail trim, sailing on all points of sail and boat maintenance. Additionally, this class offers a light introduction to sailboat racing in a fun constructive manner! Sailors will spend their time “solo” in their Optimist.

This includes experienced racers working towards a strong performance in local and regional regattas. Advanced boat handling, race tactics, course strategy and the Racing Rules of Sailing will be covered extensively. The goal of this class is to produce winning results at the highest level of youth sailing.
